Where the desert meets the ocean.
Peru and Namibia share the same latitude, basically. I think the high mountain range of the Andes affects weather much differently than the open plains of Africa, but all over the world I am constantly stunned by nature.
This is some of the most beautiful landscape, but, of course, filled with mines and workers villages.
I arrived at my guesthouse and was surprised at the size of the place!

What a great little spot, right off the beach.

Around Town
Went for a quick walk around the town to check out some wildlife and a local pub.

Cormorants jockeying for position on the cell tower. Nature is? Unnatural.

The local “pub” was in the middle of a sandlot.

Car wash, fish wash, keel wash. How about a beer?

Of course there was rugby on.
Dinnertime!
Hit up a little fish place around the corner, ok, called “Fishy Corner”, who could resist!

Oysters – like the Tabasco!

Their version of a shrimp cocktail, more like a mix between pickle salad and ceviche? Anyway, it was pretty good.

Pan fried sole and calamari. One of my all time favorites!

And their tiny side Greek salad, who knows.

Nice walk back, some interesting shops line the streets.

And here I though it was the animals that were “free range”.
Time for bed.
Interesting Artwork?
