I’m actually speechless (wordless). I don’t really know how to describe it other than a halfway house or a room by the hour place?

Generators Rule the Congo

So, the power goes out all the time and the whole hotel also smells like diesel, but the worst part? They turn off at 2:30 AM!!! It was the perfect brown noise!

Found a Place to Park (at least)

Yeah, that picture is from the morning after. Sue me. I managed to convince the guy to just let me park it on the patio.

La Chambre

Just a cover. Pillow had “patina”?

Toilet in the middle of the bathroom, exposed plumbing. Hey, at least there was a tiny bar of soap and toilet paper! Wait, no towel 🙁

The condoms on the table holding up the broken TV was the kicker. The A/C was on 17 (Celsius, but the room was still 85 degrees).

Setup my mosquito net, there were about 500 in the room just itching (ha) to get at me. Luckily I also had my insect-proof sleeping sheet/cocoon to wrap up in to keep the bedbugs and hepatitis out.
